For each copy of "Everyone's a Genius" sold, Jen Fraser will donate $1 to DotComMob.org

Jen Fraser, from Ideation Training is The Ideation Expert, helping people to change the world. She is on a mission to educate, entertain and inspire tomorrow's visionaries. She is currently working on the release of her new book, ‘Everyone’s a Genius’, which arms everyday ordinary people with the tools they need to expand their imagination and bring to life brilliant, original ideas.
Why did she write it? Fraser wants everybody to experience that intense feeling you get, when you see your big idea actually come to life. It is a rare and exhilarating experience - there really is no way to adequately describe it. It is in that precise moment that you realise your whole life has suddenly changed, forever.

You think to yourself: if I can do this, what is left for me that I cannot do?

An idea costs nothing, and yet the problem most of us have is that we dream about coming up with a BIG idea, but don’t know how or where to get started. This book is an invaluable source of inspiration to help you do just that. Fraser has stated that she finds it deeply satisfying and a great honour to provide the starting point to so many incredible new ideas!

The book is available for Pre-Order now at: www.jen-fraser.com/preorder.html

Lelep Wighton (pictured at Papunya Computer Room) was in Papunya for three weeks in November/December to assist with the IT set-up of the Papunya Computer Room’s new premises at Waala Irritja.  Waala Irritja is a community owned hall that will be used for running a range of activities, including the Papunya Computer Room.  Lelep’s IT project is funded by a grant from funds raised by staff of the Commonwealth Bank, and will cost approximately $6,000.

Last time Lelep was in Papunya he set up a Minecraft intranet at the Papunya Computer Room, so that the kids could all play in same Minecraft world, but on different computers.  The Papunya kids have a lot of fun with Minecraft, which is a digital world building game.  The Papunya kids still play Minecraft, and are looking forward to updating their skills while Lelep is there.  (See photo panel below).

Many thanks to the staff of the Commonwealth Bank, for funding this remote community resource.  Your support contributes to reducing Aboriginal disadvantage, and is much appreciated by the kids of Papunya.

So excited that the Dot Com Mob was a successful applicant for a $10,000 grant from the Commonwealth Bank Staff Fund.

The Dot Com Mob, an arm of the Magid Indigenous Benevolent Relief Fund, aims to improve the lives of young people living in remote Indigenous communities by providing access to technology centres, youth IT training, and digital inclusion projects. This Community Grant will be used by the Dot Com Mob to buy laptop computers, software, headphones, digital music keyboards and microphones for the remote Aboriginal community at Papunya, which is experiencing an upsurge in high-risk behaviours. Access to computers and computer-based resources is a very successful engagement and diversion strategy for at-risk youth cohorts.

Many thanks to Transform Communications who rather than sending Christmas cards through the mail this year, sent e-cards to their friends and clients via email, so that they could make a donation of the savings to Dot Com Mob.
